The Day Before Time Whispered: The First Step

On There was only him and nothingness in the silence. a day before the past, when time had not yet whispered its own name, a being opened its eyes.

Eyes… a pair of infinities experiencing sight for the first time. Eyes that had not yet assigned meaning to any image, named any color, or grasped any shape.

There was no name. There was no one else to give a name. No sound, no echo. Only that void in which even silence resonated...

It looked to the right: nothingness. It turned to the left: non-existence. This silence was neither terrifying nor peaceful. There was only him and nothingness in the silence.

It raised its hand and looked at its fingers. They were like the silent letters of an unknown language. There was no meaning yet, but the feeling was profound.

It was naked. Neither ashamed nor curious. For there was no such thing as a covering yet—neither fabric nor words.

It stood up. The earth seemed to find its balance with it. It took the first step. In that moment, it discovered walking. And it never stopped again.

Because a human being withers away where they stand. By going nowhere, they turn into an invisible decay in the void of time.

It walked… for walking was the first poetry of thought. Perhaps it was the first story the feet told the earth.

And then...

In essence, a human being goes nowhere. Because life begins with an emergence—and then collapses inward once more.

Everything returns to where it began: To the Essence.
